Born of a Strong Spirit
Not only was Beoir Chorcha Dhuibhne the first craft brewery in Kerry, but it was the first microbrewery in Ireland to be founded and managed by a woman, and Adrienne continues to run the brewery today. Remembering those early days, Adrienne recalls “I realised the wonderful potential around developing beers with an intense connection to the ground they were made on… using water from 150 feet below the brewery connects me back to the family members who have gone before us, and in turn they are connected out to the world through the beers we produce here”.
About us
Meet the Team
Adrienne
Our commander in chief. The artist with an idea, the focus to realise it, and the determination to bring simple, traditional yet progressive beers to the consumer.
PAUL
The barman and longtime colleague. Native of Tralee whose father Sean “Gash” O Loingsigh was born into the pub. Paul is the beer connoisseur, and having lived in England for many years learnt a thing or two about good beer!
Daniel
The Australian brewer with training in clothing and fashion who originally came looking for a job as an intern at the brewery, wishing to follow up on an interest in brewing!
PAT
The only native! With his wife Marie, a farmer from up the road. A man to get the job done no matter what it is!
John
A Kilkenny native. The maintenance guy who seems capable of just about anything.
NORAH
Adrienne’s mother who sold her home in Dublin and moved to Kerry, and whose input in all things from the guesthouse to the pub, and even down to the labelling of the beer bottles, has been invaluable.
