Looking forward to a couple of nights up in White Hag Brewery for their 9th annual birthday bash where they have both Irish and International breweries visit and pour beer. We have dispatched Carraig Dhubh our luxurious porter 6%, Kerry Kolsch a lager style ale 4% and Beoir Rua an Irish red 4%. The latter two are our newest beers and tapping into the desire for lower alcohol beers. Its surprising too the number of requests for lagers, with the Kolsch we meet that and the fact that we are an ale brew house determines the style. The Beoir Rua has taken on a welcome following from the folks in Kilorglin at Falveys Pub. Again, it is a recent new recipe formulated to resemble a sweet traditional light red ale.
